About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience within the Planning & Strategy Office at SpartanNash. You will support the alignment of technology capabilities with long-term business goals while working alongside Supply Chain, Finance, and HR leadership. This is a paid, full-time summer position based on-site in Byron Center, Michigan.
What you'll do#
- Assist in daily department operations and administrative tasks.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to document and sequence business initiatives.
- Track ROI, project value, and conduct postmortem project analysis.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and documentation for team review.
- Collaborate on process improvements to enhance department efficiency.
- Attend meetings, take notes, and contribute ideas to ongoing projects.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships across various departments.
- Complete an end-of-internship presentation to showcase your learning objectives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a Business discipline.
- Completion of your Sophomore year by the start of the internship.
- Good academic standing, with a preferred minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Organized, detail-oriented approach to managing multiple priorities.
- Curiosity and a willingness to contribute to team initiatives.
- Proficiency with Google’s suite of products is preferred.
