About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the retail technology sector of a large supply chain organization. You will work on IT projects that support corporate grocery stores, including point-of-sale systems, pharmacy technology, scale management, and system integrations. This is a 12-week, full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Participate in retail technology projects and system integrations.
- Assist with second-level hardware and software support for corporate store POS and back-office systems.
- Collaborate with business partners, IT teams, and external vendors to improve store user experiences.
- Help with daily operations, administrative tasks, and the preparation of reports or presentations.
- Enhance department tools, templates, and internal processes.
- Attend meetings, contribute ideas, and build professional relationships across the organization.
- Complete special projects and deliver an end-of-internship presentation on your learning objectives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science.
- Completion of your sophomore year by the start of the internship.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Windows operating systems, SQL, scripting, and AI tools.
- Strong customer service, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently or in a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
