About the role#
As a Fleet Asset Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the wholesale grocery industry. You will support fleet operations through project coordination, reporting, and asset management activities. This 12-week program runs from May to August 2027. You will work alongside team members and business partners, including the Supply Chain Continuous Improvement team, to contribute to the success of our operations.
What you'll do#
- Support fleet operations through process improvements, project coordination, reporting, and asset management.
- Assist with daily department operations and administrative tasks.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and other documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
- Aid in the development of department tools, templates, and methodologies.
- Attend meetings, take notes, and contribute your own ideas.
- Develop professional relationships across different departments.
- Complete special projects as assigned by your manager.
- Deliver an end-of-internship presentation to showcase your learning objectives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Transportation, Fleet Maintenance, or a similar program.
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing.
- Good academic standing, with a preferred minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, with strong skills in Excel and PowerBI preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- A curious mindset with the initiative to learn and solve problems.

- Location: Byron Center, Michigan.
- Modality: On-site.
- Duration: Summer 2027 (12 weeks).
- Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
