About the role#
This summer internship offers hands-on experience within the wholesale grocery industry. You will join the IT Ecommerce & Marketing team to contribute to digital commerce initiatives and gain insight into the operations of a large-scale supply chain company. You will work alongside mentors and other interns, participate in professional development, and complete a capstone project.
What you'll do#
- Support digital commerce initiatives across web, mobile, digital loyalty, and marketing technology platforms.
- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot application components using ReactJS, React Native, Node.js, APIs, and GCP services.
- Assist with requirements gathering, user story creation, and solution design.
- Participate in testing activities, including test case creation, execution, and defect tracking.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams through agile ceremonies like stand-ups and sprint planning.
- Assist with application monitoring, issue resolution, and operational process improvements.
- Contribute to innovation initiatives and explore emerging technologies.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for department projects.
- Attend meetings and contribute ideas to enhance team efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, having completed your Sophomore year.
- Major in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration, or Marketing.
- Good academic standing with a preferred minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Google’s suite of products.
- Development experience with React, React Native, Typespec, Node, APIs, or Github Copilot is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn.
- Must have permanent work authorization in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
