About the role#
Student Involvement and Student Affairs Staff Assistants support the daily operations of the office. You will help create a welcoming campus environment by providing administrative support and customer service to students, staff, and campus guests. This role offers a chance to build professional skills while contributing to the campus community.
What you'll do#
- Serve as the first point of contact for the office and welcome visitors.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling via Microsoft Outlook, scanning, filing, and data entry.
- Manage shared email accounts and answer phones.
- Communicate clearly with students, staff, and faculty.
- Collaborate with the team on departmental events like Orientation, Opening Weekend, and Homecoming.
- Attend monthly staff meetings and development events.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Contribute to an inclusive office culture.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Adhere to the office dress code and arrive on time for shifts.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in an Undergraduate or Graduate Day Program at SNHU.
- A Work Study award as part of your financial aid package.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to handle telephone communications professionally.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional nights and weekends.
Location & details#
- Location: On-site in New Hampshire.
- Schedule: Typically 10-15 hours per week during the academic year, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Compensation: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour.
