About the role#
The School of Engineering, Technology, and Aeronautics (SETA) is looking for a student worker to join the Lab Operations team. You will support daily lab activities, assist with student projects, and help maintain a safe, organized environment. This is an on-site position based in New Hampshire.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Lab Operations department with ongoing projects and tasks.
- Help students with 3D printing, laser cutting, and wood shop equipment.
- Support students and faculty in the operation of lab tools.
- Prepare, set up, and take down equipment for academic events.
- Maintain lab spaces to ensure they remain safe and efficient.
- Adapt to new tasks as needed to support engineering and construction management requirements.
- Perform physical tasks, including some heavy lifting.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a SETA degree program such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Physics is preferred.
- Must be in good academic standing.
- Eligibility for Federal Work Study.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
- A self-motivated attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
Location & details#
- This role is on-site in New Hampshire.
- The position is part-time, offering up to 12 hours per week.
- The work schedule is flexible between Monday and Friday, 8am to 5pm.
- Training is provided on the job.
- Compensation is $13.00 to $15.00 per hour.
