About the role#
This position supports the Campus Wellness Center at Southern New Hampshire University. You will gain experience in a busy healthcare environment by handling administrative tasks and student interactions. This role requires independent decision-making and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once. We are looking for students who enjoy helping others and can handle detailed procedures.
What you'll do#
- Welcome students and visitors and provide professional front-desk assistance.
- Schedule, block, cancel, and reschedule appointments using the Medicat system.
- Interpret and process student medical records, including auditing immunization mandates and performing data entry.
- Promote health and well-being initiatives through outreach activities and educational bulletin boards.
- Perform general office duties such as filing, scanning, and mail sorting.
- Manage telephone calls, online inquiries, and reception duties while maintaining confidentiality.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Undergraduate Day or Graduate Day program at SNHU.
- Work Study as part of your financial aid package.
- Previous experience in an office, healthcare setting, or customer-service position.
- Comfort learning and working in electronic recordkeeping and scheduling systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to remain calm and organized in a busy environment.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow established policies and procedures.
Location & details#
- Location: On-site in New Hampshire.
- Commitment: Minimum of 12 hours per week, including one rotating late shift.
- Pay: $13.00 to $15.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
- Term: Rolling.
