About the role#
The Performance Test Engineer Intern will join our team for a 12-month term starting in January 2027. You will focus on validating the production readiness of our software applications and infrastructure by designing, scripting, and running performance tests. This role provides hands-on experience with load testing and performance engineering tools while working alongside senior engineers and development teams.
What you'll do#
- Design, script, configure, and run performance tests to check software stability.
- Condition test data to simulate realistic scenarios.
- Use tools like JMeter, AppDynamics, and Fiddler to capture and analyze performance data.
- Contribute to our automation framework alongside senior performance engineers.
- Collaborate with development and architecture teams to troubleshoot performance issues.
- Gain experience with SQL, stored procedures, and database-intensive test cases.
- Learn about the transition from on-premise to cloud environments.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Computer Science or Computer Engineering program.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and database fundamentals.
- Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Programming experience in at least one of the following: C, C++, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Ruby, Rust, Lua, or Haskell.
- A strong desire to learn and work within a collaborative team.
