About the role#
As a Technical Design Intern at Haven Interactive Studios, you will act as a bridge between the design and engineering teams. You will support the game modes team by participating in the features and systems validation process. Working under the Technical Level Design Director, you will help establish clear guidelines and rational design rules to ensure the best use of game features and systems.
What you'll do#
- Develop and maintain in-game and debug tools for designers.
- Collaborate with the programming team to enhance existing tools and build new ones.
- Create a solid rational level design checklist and communicate technical requirements to the level design team.
- Implement data validation strategies, such as reports and automated testing.
- Focus on the optimization of systems and features.
- Clean up outdated data and error logs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university or college program with a focus on programming, game design, or technical design.
- Experience with scripting or programming.
- Previous internship experience is an advantage.
