About the role#
As a Tools Programmer Intern, you will join the team at Haven Interactive Studios focused on asset pipelines and game creation workflows. You will report to a Senior Tools Programmer and work alongside artists, animators, and technical artists to refine production processes. This role provides exposure to a variety of software used in game development.
What you'll do#
- Build usability features and automated helpers that improve creative workflows.
- Partner with artists and other users to gather requirements and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Take part in code reviews, write technical documentation, and implement unit tests.
What you'll need#
- Familiarity with Python, C++, or Rust.
- Experience with GUI frameworks, such as Slate, Blender GUI Framework, Qt, IMGUI, or WPF.
- Ability to debug and resolve issues using standard tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with the Unreal Engine Editor or Unity.
- Experience with digital content creation tools like Blender 3D, Maya, Houdini, or Photoshop.
