About the role#
This graduate-level internship focuses on building the production reporting layer for the Talent Acquisition team. You will own the process from raw recruiting data to automated dashboards that influence business decisions. The role emphasizes data engineering, modeling, and automation rather than operational recruiting tasks. You will collaborate with leadership and technical teams to build a foundation for global reporting.
What you'll do#
- Establish and validate connections between Talent Acquisition source systems and Snowflake.
- Build a query-ready dimensional data model in Snowflake.
- Write and optimize SQL transformations to turn raw data into analysis-ready tables.
- Develop a full Power BI dashboard suite covering metrics like funnel conversion, time-to-fill, and sourcing effectiveness.
- Build a governed semantic model with certified DAX measures.
- Configure Power BI connectivity and automated refresh schedules.
- Implement data quality checks and row-level security.
- Produce technical documentation and deliver enablement sessions for HR leadership.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition leadership to prioritize requirements and translate business questions into metrics.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Data Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including joins, aggregations, window functions, and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience building Power BI dashboards, including DAX measures and data modeling.
- Experience with Python or R for data extraction and transformation.
- Working knowledge of dimensional data modeling and ETL/ELT concepts.
- Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytics requirements.
- Experience with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse is preferred.
- Familiarity with Power BI Service administration, version control (Git), and automated orchestration tools.
- Interest in HR, Talent Acquisition, or workforce analytics.
Location & details#
- This is a part-time, paid internship for 20 hours per week.
- The term is 6 months, beginning in October 2026.
- Work can be performed remotely or in a hybrid capacity if local to a Solidigm worksite in Rancho Cordova, California.
- Preference is given to candidates in the Pacific, Mountain, or Central time zones.
