    About the role#

    This internship provides students with projects that support welding production and development. You will work under the guidance of a mentor to apply your classroom education to real work situations. This position is full-time and on-site.

    What you'll do#

    • Complete projects related to welding production and development.
    • Perform welding tests and analyze the resulting data.
    • Conduct research and analysis on materials.
    • Provide support for manufacturing processes.
    • Assess performance, cost, serviceability, and manufacturability.
    • Work with welding processes including GTAW, GMAW, SAW, and FCAW on structures and pipe.
    • Utilize robotic solutions and cobots for welding assemblies.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a 4-year or advanced degree in Welding Engineering, Welding Engineering Technology, or a relevant field.
    • Classified as a Sophomore, Junior, Senior planning to attend graduate school, or currently enrolled in graduate school.
    • Minimum overall GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
    • Previous co-op or internship experience.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and business or technical judgment.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.
    • High energy level and a sense of urgency.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    • Location: Channelview, Texas.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Work Modality: On-site, five days a week.
    • Compensation: This is a paid position.
    • Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
