About the role#
Smythe LLP is seeking a full-time Tax Analyst to join the Canadian Tax Practice Group as an Articling Student. This role is part of the CPA Direct to Tax Pathway and is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, starting in September 2027. You will receive dedicated coaching and mentorship to support your professional development as you progress through the CPA program.
What you'll do#
- Complete Canadian tax filings for individuals and businesses.
- Gain practical experience addressing a variety of personal and corporate tax issues.
- Conduct tax research to support client needs.
- Engage directly with clients to build professional relationships.
- Participate in the CPA program with structured mentorship and training.
What you'll need#
- Completion of all CPA PREP prerequisites.
- Eligibility to commence the CPA PEP program.
- A strong interest in Canadian tax.
- Ability to engage directly with clients.
- A willingness to learn and develop professional skills.

- Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
- Term: Fall 2027 (commencing September 2027).
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $55,000 per year.
