About the role#
Smythe LLP is seeking an Articling Student to join the Private Companies practice group in Vancouver. This full-time position begins in September 2027 and is designed for students pursuing their CPA designation through the ACT (Assurance, Compilation, Taxes) pathway. You will work in a supportive environment that emphasizes professional development, mentorship, and career growth.
What you'll do#
- Partner with a dedicated coach to guide your professional development and career growth.
- Complete compilations and reviews for privately-held companies across various industries.
- Prepare corporate, personal, and other tax returns.
- Cultivate meaningful professional relationships by working directly with clients.
- Receive comprehensive training and support to assist with your academic and professional success.
What you'll need#
- Completion of all CPA PREP prerequisites.
- Eligibility to commence the CPA PEP program.
- Pre-approval within the CPA’s ACT Pathway.
- Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
