About the role#
The Corporate Communications Intern joins the Corporate Marketing and Communications team to help promote the SMBC brand. You will support the development of strategic plans for internal employee communications, media relations, and social media. This 10-week summer program provides exposure to firm-wide projects and offers mentorship from both junior and senior team members.
What you'll do#
- Create content for social media, digital signage, and town halls.
- Assist the team in preparing for media interviews.
- Support internal communications and media relations efforts.
- Engage with business stakeholders, colleagues, and industry insiders to gain professional experience.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program with a graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- Strong academic record.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain concepts concisely.
- Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Majors in Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, Journalism, or Business Administration are preferred.
