About the role#
The Events Business Development Intern supports our Event Sales team during a busy conference planning period. You will gain hands-on experience in event sales, exhibitor management, and conference operations. This full-time role involves working with Sales and Logistics partners to support pre-conference planning, exhibitor communications, and administrative projects.
What you'll do#
- Review exhibitor booth design submissions to ensure they meet event rules and regulations.
- Coordinate with the General Service Contractor to resolve booth-related inquiries and support needs.
- Conduct outreach to prospective partners via phone calls and email campaigns.
- Assist with sales pipeline management and CRM data entry.
- Maintain event records, databases, and internal project trackers.
- Communicate with exhibitors and sponsors to collect required items like logos, booth renderings, and insurance certificates.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Hospitality, or Sales.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with sharp attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.

- This position is based on-site in Washington, District of Columbia.
- The internship term covers Winter and Summer 2027.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
