About the role#
Venture Solar is hiring a Business Development Intern to join our inside sales and reactivation team in Stamford. You will work directly with senior leadership and operations to connect with homeowners, educate them on solar energy and home electrification, and coordinate with our sales team. This role is designed for those looking to build practical business skills and gain experience in the renewable energy sector.
What you'll do#
- Reach out to prospective customers through phone, email, and other channels.
- Educate homeowners about solar energy and home electrification.
- Identify opportunities for sales conversations and schedule qualified appointments.
- Follow up with customers to keep them informed and engaged throughout the process.
- Coordinate with senior leadership and operations to ensure a smooth handoff to the sales team.
- Maintain accurate records of all customer conversations, appointments, and outreach activities.
- Participate in regular training and coaching sessions to improve your sales and communication skills.
- Work toward specific individual and team outreach goals.

Location & details#
- This position is located in Stamford, Connecticut.
- The role is full-time and requires you to work on-site.
- The schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM.
- This is a paid internship that includes benefits and commission opportunities.
