About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience supporting the planning and execution of major clean energy conferences and events. You will work with the events team on projects including CLEANPOWER, Operations, Maintenance & Safety, Siting & Permitting, and PEAK Performance Assessment & Modeling. The role runs from January through June 2027 and offers a look into conference logistics, attendee engagement, and event technology.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning and coordination of conferences, meetings, and events.
- Assist with program and content planning, such as speaker coordination, scheduling, and materials preparation.
- Manage logistics including pre-event shipments, sponsorship fulfillment, tracking RSVPs, and editing onsite materials.
- Coordinate with hotel and convention center partners for both pre-event and onsite needs.
- Maintain event documentation, attendee lists, and internal tracking materials.
- Support the use of event technology platforms, including registration systems and mobile tools.
- Assist with onsite or virtual event execution.
- Contribute to post-event tasks like feedback collection and reporting.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate.
- Interest in event management, hospitality, marketing, communications, or business.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with guidance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Familiarity with event registration platforms, databases, or project management tools is preferred.
- Interest in clean energy, sustainability, or public policy is preferred.
- Relevant coursework or prior internship experience in events or program coordination is preferred.

- Term: Winter and Summer 2027 (January through June).
- Compensation: $20 per hour.
- Employment: Full-time.
