About the role#
As a software engineer intern at SK hynix memory solutions America Inc., you will work on storage test software development and validation. You will design and develop software based on industry standard specifications and firmware algorithms.
What you'll do#
- Develop, code, and debug software tools using C++, Python, JavaScript, and other technologies.
- Design and implement storage test tools, including software libraries and user-facing APIs.
- Automate tasks such as build and deployment, test integration, and performance reporting.
- Test and validate the functionality, performance, and scalability of your tools.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, design documents, and release notes.
- Use AI tools to assist in software development and documentation tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in C, C++, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or node.js.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, source control, databases, operating systems, and networking basics.
- Hands-on experience with software debugging.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and learn new concepts quickly.

- Location: San Jose, California.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $35 to $45 per hour.
