About the role#
The Development Engineer Intern supports the project development process, schedule, and workflow for street lighting projects. This includes LED conversions, lighting controls, and related infrastructure improvements. You will work with the team to analyze data, prepare proposals, and manage technical documentation. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering and sales teams during project development.
- Analyze field audit, utility, and GIS data to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with photometric modeling, energy-savings calculations, and other technical analyses.
- Participate in site visits, field audits, and quality control activities.
- Upload and maintain internal documentation in our collaborative IT environment.
- Manage document control processes and handle ad-hoc reporting tasks.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering, environmental studies, GIS, or business.
- Previous work experience involving team collaboration.
- Basic understanding of electrical or power systems.
- Experience with sales liaison or client collaboration in the energy or related industries.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Professional communication skills and a commitment to process improvement.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
