About the role#
Our Sales Development Representative Intern supports the early stages of the sales process. You will research target accounts, identify key contacts, and help start conversations. This role provides practical experience in business-to-business sales, market development, and customer engagement.
What you'll do#
- Research priority industries, companies, and decision-makers using approved data sources.
- Build and maintain prospect lists for sectors like healthcare, commercial real estate, manufacturing, and distribution.
- Support outreach efforts through email, phone, networking platforms, and events.
- Prepare account briefs, qualify early interest, and document customer needs and stakeholders.
- Enter activity and contact notes into the CRM to support handoffs to sales leaders.
- Track outreach results and share weekly observations about market response and messaging.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in sales, marketing, business, communications, finance, sustainability, or a related field.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong listening skills and confidence when engaging new people.
- Curiosity, resilience, and organizational skills.
- A willingness to learn through coaching and practice.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Experience with CRM, prospecting tools, or complex solution sales is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Los Angeles, California.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $22 - $25 per hour.
- Status: Full-time, rolling internship.
- Physical requirements: Ability to work in an office setting, including sitting, standing, and using a computer. You may need to lift 20 lbs. and travel up to 10% of the time.
