About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will assist senior engineers with energy projects, site surveys, and design development. The role runs from May 2027 through mid-August 2027. You will work on-site in Memphis, Tennessee, during normal business hours.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the design, engineering, and implementation of energy projects, including data collection, analysis, and documentation.
- Support engineering and sales teams with subcontractor coordination, technical estimates, and proposal development.
- Gain hands-on experience in the solar and energy industry.
- Travel to project sites to gather data and assist with on-site activities as needed.
- Handle ad-hoc reporting and other tasks required by the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate mechanical engineering degree program.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and draw conclusions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to participate in continuous process and quality improvement.

- Physical Requirements: You may need to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, and kneel. You must be able to lift up to 20 lbs unassisted.
