Sports Intern

About the role#

This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the Sports Department at WJAR NBC 10. Interns will participate in team meetings, contribute to various projects, and engage in professional networking opportunities while learning the daily operations of broadcast news.

What you'll do#

• Assist the Sports Department with daily broadcast production tasks.
• Gain practical experience in the news environment.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to ongoing projects.
• Engage in networking with professionals in the media industry.

What you'll need#

• Must be a junior or senior at a four-year accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Political Science, Business Administration, or Marketing.
• Planning and preparing for a career in the news industry.
• Highly motivated and dedicated to maximizing the internship experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be eligible to receive college credit for the internship; credit verification forms will be provided.
