    About the role#

    As a Technical Intern in Advanced Analysis, you will work alongside industry experts to solve structural engineering challenges. This role involves supporting projects for critical infrastructure, including nuclear and non-nuclear power generation, storage facilities, and national defense installations. You will gain hands-on experience by applying your classroom knowledge to real-world projects in both office and field settings.

    What you'll do#

    • Develop analytical models to evaluate the performance of buildings, mechanical systems, and non-structural components.
    • Perform structural analysis and design under the guidance of licensed professionals.
    • Prepare client deliverables such as formal calculation packages, written reports, and presentation slides.
    • Create digital tools to improve engineering workflows and productivity.
    • Collaborate with researchers to support advancements in the structural engineering field.
    • Conduct field tests, perform reconnaissance on existing structures, or monitor construction progress.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering or Architecture degree program.
    • Strong academic performance.
    • Interest in structural engineering, materials science, or architectural engineering.
    • Enthusiasm for developing sophisticated engineering work products.
    • Strong communication skills.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Newport Beach, California.
    • Term: Fall 2026.
    • Modality: Full-time, on-site.
    • Compensation: Undergraduate students earn $29.25 to $32.50 per hour. Graduate students earn $33.75 to $34.75 per hour. PhD students earn $36.75 per hour. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is included.
    • Benefits: Full-time temporary employees are eligible for medical insurance, paid holidays, and sick leave.
