About the role#
This role provides practical experience for students in a community pharmacy setting. You will work in a locally owned store to help deliver health, beauty, and convenience services. The position focuses on preparing future pharmacists for success while helping the community manage their health.
What you'll do#
- Deliver health, beauty, and convenience services to the community.
- Provide an exceptional shopping experience for pharmacy customers.
- Acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements, including confidentiality and consent management, are met.
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Learn the skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy.
- Improve communication skills with patients, staff, and health care workers.
- Expand your knowledge of OTC products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a program related to Pharmaceutical Sciences, Public Health, or Nursing.
- A commitment to providing high-quality customer service.
- An interest in the expanding role of the community pharmacist.
