About the role#
Sezzle is seeking a Fraud Operations Intern to join our Shopper Risk Operations team. This role focuses on maintaining the security of our platform by monitoring transactions and user behavior. You will help identify and block fraudulent activity while clearing false positives flagged by our automated systems. This is a full-time, paid position with a remote work structure.
What you'll do#
- Monitor real-time transactions and customer behaviors flagged for potential fraud.
- Investigate individual transactions using internal policies to determine if they are fraudulent.
- Research fraud and user behavior to support machine learning models and detection rules.
- Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and engineering teams to improve fraud prevention processes.
- Maintain strong knowledge of current fraud prevention techniques and technologies.
- Handle escalations from internal and external stakeholders.
- Meet service level agreements for the timely resolution of queued cases.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Data Science, Business Administration, or Cybersecurity.
- Experience in analyzing data and making decisions in complex environments.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong business judgment and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience working with large language model tools.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after training.
