About the role#
We are looking for a Chargeback Operations Intern to join our team in Colombia. You will analyze and respond to card and ACH disputes filed against Sezzle. This role involves working with our fraud and risk teams to review cases and determine the best course of action. You will also provide recommendations to management on how to improve and scale our internal processes.
What you'll do#
- Investigate disputed credit, debit, and ACH transactions to reach resolutions within required timeframes.
- Work cross functionally with fraud and disputes departments to determine next steps for specific cases.
- Analyze individual transactions and account patterns to identify trends.
- Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and engineering teams to improve loss prevention mechanisms and tools.
- Maintain established service level agreements to minimize potential losses.
- Use large language models to enhance your research, productivity, and communication.
What you'll need#
- Experience in analyzing data and making decisions in ambiguous environments.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong business judgment and communication abilities.
- Ability to self-start and work with minimal supervision after training.
- Enrollment in or completion of studies in Business Administration, Data Science, Finance, or Economics.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, remote position based in Colombia.
- Working hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm Central Time.
- The role is offered on a rolling basis.
