About the role#
We are looking for a Risk & Disputes Intern to join our team. In this role, you will analyze and respond to credit card, debit card, and ACH disputes. You will work alongside our fraud and disputes departments to resolve issues on a case-by-case basis and provide recommendations for process improvements. This is a full-time, paid position requiring availability Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm Central Time.
What you'll do#
- Investigate disputed transactions and take action to resolve them within established timeframes.
- Review individual transactions using internal policies to identify patterns or trends.
- Analyze account patterns using data to support your findings.
- Collaborate with analysts, operations specialists, data scientists, and engineering to improve loss prevention tools and mechanisms.
- Maintain domain knowledge of fraud prevention techniques and technologies.
- Meet or exceed service level agreements for case resolution to minimize losses.
- Handle escalations from internal and external stakeholders.
- Use Claude or equivalent large language model tools to assist with productivity, research, and communication.
What you'll need#
- Experience in data analysis.
- Ability to make decisions in ambiguous environments.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong business judgment and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after initial training.
- Experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
- Background in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
