About the role#
We are looking for a Chargeback Operations Intern to join our Risk and Fraud team. You will analyze and respond to credit card, debit card, and ACH disputes filed against Sezzle. This role involves working closely with our fraud and customer disputes departments to resolve issues on a case-by-case basis. You will also provide recommendations to management on how to improve and scale our internal processes.
What you'll do#
- Investigate disputed transactions and resolve them within allowed timeframes.
- Collaborate with fraud and disputes departments to determine next steps.
- Review individual transactions using internal policies to identify patterns or trends.
- Analyze account data to understand system behaviors.
- Work with analysts, operations specialists, data scientists, and engineering to improve loss prevention mechanisms.
- Maintain domain knowledge of fraud prevention techniques and technologies.
- Meet or exceed service level agreements for case resolution.
- Manage escalations from internal and external stakeholders.
- Use Claude or equivalent large language model tools to enhance productivity, research, and communication.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong business judgment and communication skills.
- Ability to work as a self-starter with minimal supervision after training.
- Demonstrated experience working with large language model tools.
Location & details#
- This position is fully remote.
- This is a full-time internship, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm Central Time.
- The role is paid at 2,800,000 COP monthly.
