About the role#
We are looking for a Data Infrastructure Engineer Intern to join our team. This is a full-time, remote internship with a rolling start date. You will gain experience in data warehousing, pipeline monitoring, and automation while working alongside engineers and analysts.
What you'll do#
- Maintain and improve data warehousing systems, specifically AWS DMS and Redshift.
- Monitor data pipelines to identify and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data validation and analytics.
- Collaborate with team members to support data use cases.
- Identify and automate repetitive manual tasks to improve team efficiency.
- Participate in testing and documentation to increase system reliability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- A basic understanding of relational databases like MySQL and Postgres, as well as NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with at least one programming language, such as Python or Go.
- An interest in backend engineering, distributed systems, or data infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Location & details#
- This position is fully remote.
- The role is a paid internship at 700 USD monthly gross.
- We do not offer visa sponsorship for this role.
