About the role#
As an intern on the AI Automation team, you will help improve the systems that power our distribution centers. You will work alongside our Warehouse Systems, Supply Chain, and AI teams to design and deploy tools that reduce manual work and increase system reliability. This role focuses on building automation that streamlines warehouse workflows.
What you'll do#
- Build AI-powered tools, automated scripts, and dashboards to improve operational visibility.
- Analyze warehouse management system data to find process bottlenecks and new automation opportunities.
- Support the integration, testing, and deployment of scripts and AI tools in both staging and production environments.
- Assist with system troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for core distribution technologies.
- Present your technical findings, prototypes, and recommendations to engineering and operations teams.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or Applied Mathematics.
- Expected graduation date in 2027 or 2028.
- Foundational programming experience in languages such as Python, Java, Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Bash.
- Basic knowledge of Linux, networking, APIs, Git, cloud computing, containers, or CI/CD concepts.
- Interest in areas like AI infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or distributed systems.
- Ability to break down complex problems and communicate technical concepts to various audiences.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, remote internship.
- You must permanently reside and work in the U.S.
- The program runs from June 14 to August 20, 2027.
- Your work schedule must align with 9 AM to 5 PM, Pacific Standard Time.
- Hourly pay is $30.00.
