About the role#
This is a full-time Data Analyst Internship or Co-Op position within the Velocity Program. The role runs from January 2027 through April 2027 and is based on-site in Toronto. You will join a team focused on data-driven decision-making while gaining exposure to different areas of the organization.
What you'll do#
- Define business requirements and processes by working with internal partners.
- Perform analysis and create reports to measure project impact and success.
- Build dashboards and reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Conduct statistical modeling, including trending analysis, projections, and forecasts.
- Investigate data sources and determine the best methods for interpretation.
- Create diagrams, flow charts, and documentation based on technical and business requirements.
- Identify and implement improvements to existing processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program, preferably in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or Mathematics.
- A strong sense of attitude, ownership, and opportunity.
- Experience cleaning, transforming, and visualizing large data sets.
- Proficiency with data manipulation tools such as SQL, DB2, MySQL, Python, or R.
- Experience with visualization software like PowerBI, Tableau, or Qlikview.
- Skills in project management, process planning, and coordinating multiple deliverables.
- Ability to interpret large amounts of information and present findings clearly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
