About the role#
This internship program supports youth participating in the Learn to Work initiative. The program focuses on providing a safe learning environment where students can build professional skills and explore various career paths. Staff also coordinate with local businesses to help create job opportunities for participants.
What you'll do#
- Assess the individual skills and interests of students to determine potential work areas.
- Facilitate comprehensive job-readiness workshops.
- Teach essential professional topics including resume creation, interviewing skills, money management, and appropriate work behavior.
What you'll need#
- Must be between the ages of 15 and 21.
- Must be a student currently attending an eligible high school.
- Ability to commit to a maximum of 15 hours of work per week.
