About the role#
The Public Markets Internship Program in Fixed Income is a 9-week summer program running from June 7, 2027, to August 6, 2027. This role offers an introduction to the asset management industry and provides insight into how specific departments operate within Schroders. You will work with a specialist group focused on market segments such as Global Unconstrained Fixed Income, Emerging Markets, US Multi Sector, European Credit, Investment Product, or Credit Research.
What you'll do#
- Take part in comprehensive introductory training to build your business knowledge.
- Contribute to live projects and gain hands-on experience by working within a team.
- Shadow experienced professionals and learn from leaders in the field.
- Network with colleagues and other interns to build professional connections.
What you'll need#
- You must be a student in your Junior Year, graduating in 2028.
- A basic understanding of macroeconomic trends and investment concepts.
- A clear interest in financial markets and investing.
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to work with large or complex numerical datasets.
- Excellent attention to detail and a growth mindset.
- The ability to present ideas and insights confidently to various audiences.
- Logical thinking and structured reasoning skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- An understanding of target audiences.
- Majors in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related fields.
