About the role#
Schonfeld is looking for an intern to join the DMFI Technology division for a ten-week summer program. You will work alongside senior developers on high-profile projects that support our investment strategies. This is a full-time, paid position based in New York.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with senior developers to build high-performance software.
- Process ticking market data from multiple providers.
- Build efficient historical datasets designed for rapid trading analysis.
- Manage the data lifecycle by enhancing ingestion, cleaning, storage, and analysis.
- Own an analytics project from its initial conception through to production deployment.
- Contribute to pipelines that provide Portfolio Managers with visibility into market exposures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Exposure to real-time data-streaming technologies.
- Coursework or a demonstrated interest in capital markets and finance.

- Compensation: $125,000 to $145,000 annually, prorated based on the internship duration.
