About the role#
We are looking for PhD candidates to join our Quantitative Research teams. You will work alongside researchers and developers on projects aimed at improving our trading strategies. This internship focuses on the design of predictive signals and the refinement of algorithms for prediction, trade execution, portfolio construction, and risk management. You will contribute to the growth and diversification of our quantitative trading business during this 10-week program.
What you'll do#
- Identify and analyze factors within a fundamental domain.
- Gather insights from alternative data offerings.
- Design and implement novel predictive signals.
- Backtest and validate research hypotheses.
- Collaborate with senior team members to develop quantitative research skills.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a PhD program related to computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics, computer engineering, or electrical engineering.
- Programming proficiency in Python, C, C++, Java, SQL, or R.
- Strong foundation in probability and statistics, including machine learning or time-series analysis.
- Experience working with real-world datasets.
- Ability to communicate research ideas clearly.

- Compensation: This is a paid, full-time internship with a base pay range of $175,000 to $220,000 per year, prorated based on the internship dates.
