About the role#
The Systematic Strategies COO (SCOO) team serves as the primary interface between investment teams and the firm’s operational services. As an intern, you will build, improve, and automate the tools and analytics that help the platform make data-driven decisions. You will gain exposure to systematic trading workflows, enterprise data architecture, and cross-functional project management while addressing operational challenges.
What you'll do#
- Integrate enterprise data sources to create a unified analytics library, working with PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and Kafka streams.
- Design and deploy AI-assisted tools that allow non-technical stakeholders to query complex data through natural language.
- Build production dashboards and automated reports to track trading activity, vendor relationships, and operational KPIs.
- Automate manual processes, such as quarterly updates and expense reconciliation, using orchestration frameworks like Prefect or Airflow.
- Collaborate with Technology, Risk, Operations, and Execution Services teams to validate data quality and navigate system permissions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Proficiency in Python (Pandas, FastAPI/Flask, OOP) and SQL (query optimization, data modelling).
- Experience with dashboard development (Power BI, Grafana, HTML) and workflow orchestration tools (Prefect, Airflow, Dagster).
- Interest or experience in AI/LLM tool development, including agent skills or RAG systems.
- Ability to learn quickly, work with ambiguity, and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Compensation: Paid internship with a base pay range of $130,000 to $145,000, prorated based on the internship duration.
