Gas Bar Clerk

About the role#

Lake Country Co-op is seeking a full-time Gas Bar Clerk for our Shellbrook Corner location. This role is focused on providing exceptional service to our members and guests while maintaining the operational standards of our convenience store and gas bar. This position requires cross-support in the Wine, Spirits, and Beer department as needed.

What you'll do#

• Provide service to guests and operate the point of sale (POS) system.
• Stock and face shelves, and perform general housekeeping duties to keep the area clean and organized.
• Receive, price, and display merchandise as directed by the team leader.
• Complete daily reconciliations and reports.
• Adhere to company and government policies regarding the sale of age-restricted items, including lottery, tobacco, and liquor.
• Support Asset Protection and Safety Management systems to ensure a safe and efficient environment.

What you'll need#

• Must be 19 years of age or older.
• Previous POS experience and the ability to work in a guest-facing environment.
• Must be willing and able to obtain Serve it Right certification.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including standing for long periods, working both inside and outside, and regularly lifting 20 to 25 pounds.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and cash management abilities.
• A flexible schedule with the availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• A results-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
