About the role#
Spark Lab is building a full textile studio that includes sewing, knitting, embroidery, and fabric printing. We are looking for interns who enjoy working with fabric and thread to help anchor this area.
What you'll do#
- Sew products from scratch, such as tote bags and other soft goods.
- Create embroidered products and iron-on patches.
- Assist walk-in visitors with their sewing and knitting projects.
- Learn to operate our embroidery machine and heat press.
- Collaborate on UV-printed fabric projects.
What you'll need#
- Sewing experience using either hand or machine methods is required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Knitting experience is preferred.
- Embroidery experience is a plus, though a willingness to learn is the most important factor.
- This position is open to Saint Mary's College enrolled students only.
