About the role#
As an Electrical Engineer Intern at S&B, you will perform routine assignments under close supervision. You will apply standard design techniques and procedures to support various project activities. This role requires daily collaboration within a multi-discipline team through meetings and face-to-face discussions.
What you'll do#
- Prepare basic design sketches and perform engineering calculations.
- Gather operating data and equipment information during field trips to existing plants.
- Collect data to assist in the preparation of equipment specifications, inquiry documents, and purchase requisitions.
- Evaluate vendor bids and drawings for compliance with specifications.
- Help prepare equipment lists, load summaries, design guides, and contract proposals.
- Participate in plant start-ups and field assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies.
- Working knowledge of computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
