About the role#
This internship provides an introduction to public accounting through a challenging, eight-week full-time program. Interns are treated as full team members and receive an introductory orientation, training on firm accounting and tax networks, and support from a dedicated Career Advocate to help define professional goals.
What you'll do#
- Communicate directly with clients and staff members.
- Perform client work both in the office and at client locations.
- Execute audit testing and procedures on key engagement areas.
- Gain insight into audit risk assessment, analysis processes, and internal controls.
- Gather and analyze industry research and comparable company data from public documents.
- Prepare written reports covering company background, financial reviews, and economic outlooks.
- Create and maintain workpaper documentation for client engagements.
What you'll need#
- Current Junior or Senior status.
- Completion of introductory accounting courses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Prior completion of an Auditing or Tax course is preferred.
