About the role#
RTP Company is hiring a Product Development Engineer intern for the summer of 2027. You will work alongside our R&D engineering team to support various development projects. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Winona, Minnesota. Local interns may have the option to continue working part-time during the 2027-2028 school year.
What you'll do#
- Support product development efforts for thermoplastic compounding and injection molding.
- Conduct mechanical and physical property testing.
- Analyze data to recommend process improvements.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and work standards.
What you'll need#
- You have completed your 2nd or 3rd year of higher education. We prefer majors in Chemical Engineering, Plastics or Polymer Engineering, Materials Science, or Composite Materials Engineering.
- You are detail oriented and can follow written procedures.
- You are willing to learn our specific business, processes, and quality assurance techniques.
- You can read, write, and speak English.
- You are a self-starter who works well independently or as part of a team.
