About the role#
The AGILE Engineering Co-Op performs entry level engineering tasks and completes assigned projects within our design and development division. You will work on minimally invasive technologies, supporting everything from initial prototyping to later-phase build support and design for manufacturability. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Westborough, Massachusetts.
What you'll do#
- Design and build assembly fixtures and develop new test methods.
- Conduct vendor research, assess capabilities, and manage the selection process.
- Perform design verification tasks, such as simulated use testing and manufacturing document creation.
- Assemble devices in a Controlled Environment Room.
- Create and update CAD drawings for component procurement and assembly.
- Perform rapid prototyping using tools like SLA, FDM, Glowforge laser cutters, and laser welders.
- Execute catheter shaft lamination, complex reflow processes, and secondary operations like tipping, skiving, and hole punching.
- Apply adhesives using UV curing and perform laser welding on complex assemblies.
- Use mills and lathes for precision part finishing and apply hydrophilic coatings.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of postsecondary education.
- Proficiency in CAD modeling and drawing creation, preferably with SolidWorks.
- Hands-on experience in a machine shop or similar prototyping environment.
- Experience with test method development, execution, and data analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to following established procedures.

- Compensation: $25 to $28 per hour.
