About the role#
Repsol is seeking a motivated intern to join the Finance team for a 12-week summer program. You will work directly with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) group to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic business analysis. This position offers exposure to financial reporting processes and the chance to contribute to renewable energy operations in North America.
What you'll do#
- Assist in preparing and consolidating annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
- Gather and validate financial and operational data to support monthly reporting.
- Analyze business performance and key performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Build and maintain financial models for scenario analysis and decision-making.
- Perform variance analysis by comparing actual results against budgets and prior-year performance.
- Create financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management teams.
- Track costs related to operating expenses, capital expenditures, and project investments.
- Collaborate with Operations, Development, Engineering, and Commercial teams to collect and report data.
- Analyze large datasets using Excel and business intelligence tools to generate recommendations.
- Participate in projects focused on operational efficiency and cost optimization.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field.
- Authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsorship.
- A solid understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with financial modeling or data analysis is preferred.
- Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SAP, Oracle, or Workday Adaptive Planning is a plus.

- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The program runs from May 17, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
- The role is based on-site in Downtown Houston, Texas.
