About the role#
Rendezvous Robotics is seeking an Avionics Engineering Intern for the Spring 2027 term. This full-time, on-site position in Golden, Colorado, focuses on the development of modular spacecraft components. You will work directly with our engineering team to support the design, testing, and integration of power systems for advanced spacecraft.
What you'll do#
- Support the design and review of power electronics, including battery management and protection circuits.
- Work on PCB design for onboard electronics.
- Analyze cross-domain fault behavior and edge cases within the power system.
- Support power distribution and bus architecture tasks across internal interfaces.
- Assist with the bring-up and debugging of avionics hardware on the bench.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Coursework or project experience in power electronics or analog and digital circuit design.
- Familiarity with PCB design tools such as KiCad or Altium.
- Experience debugging with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other bench equipment.
- Understanding of isolated sensing or isolated power architectures.
- Experience with gate drivers, DC-DC converters, or battery management systems.
- Exposure to embedded firmware for hardware bring-up.
- Must meet U.S. Government export regulations (ITAR) requirements.
