About the role#
Rendezvous Robotics is hiring an Avionics Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Golden, Colorado. You will work with our team to support the development of power electronics and avionics systems for modular spacecraft components.
What you'll do#
- Support the design and review of power electronics, including battery management and protection circuits.
- Work on PCB design for onboard electronics.
- Analyze cross-domain fault behavior and edge cases within the power system.
- Support power distribution and bus architecture work across internal interfaces.
- Assist with the bring-up and debug of avionics hardware on the bench.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Coursework or project experience in power electronics or analog/digital circuit design.
- Familiarity with PCB design tools such as KiCad or Altium.
- Experience with gate drivers, DC-DC converters, or battery management systems.
- Understanding of isolated sensing or isolated power architectures.
- Exposure to embedded firmware for hardware bring-up.
- Experience debugging with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other bench equipment.
