About the role#
As a Propulsion Engineer Intern, you will join the team responsible for the design, development, testing, and manufacturing of rocket engines. You will contribute to the full product lifecycle of Aeon-R engines. This role involves working across various areas, including integrated design, turbomachinery, combustion devices, and engine systems and testing.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, test, and manufacture rocket engines.
- Build, create, and iterate on the full product lifecycle of Aeon-R engines.
- Own engine layout and packaging, including primary and secondary structures.
- Develop test plans, execute hotfire testing, and troubleshoot technical issues.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student status in a science, engineering, technology, or mathematics field.
- Strong engineering fundamentals in either fluid mechanics and thermodynamics, or structural design and analysis.
- Evidence of ownership, problem-solving skills, and effective team collaboration.
- Excitement and ability to learn quickly.
