    About the role#

    The Integrated Performance department ensures our rockets meet mission objectives and government requirements. You will work across flight sciences, guidance, navigation, control, and vehicle performance. This role involves architecting and executing analysis, simulation, and test projects to support the success of the Terran R launch vehicle.

    What you'll do#

    • Design and optimize launch vehicle trajectories, including flight safety and launch availability.
    • Develop models and perform analysis for payload deployment collision avoidance.
    • Perform CFD analysis of vehicle entry configurations and build aero databases.
    • Analyze flight and engine hot fire data to characterize the dynamic response of Terran R.
    • Design, manufacture, and test hardware to help mitigate dynamic environments.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Proficiency with an engineering coding language, such as Python.
    • Experience contributing to complex projects within a technical team.
    • A strong interest in launch and entry vehicle physics, simulation, and operations.
