West Side Youth Summer VBS Intern

About the role#

The West Side Youth Summer VBS Internship is a limited position designed to serve as a first step into ministry and an investment into the next generation of West Side Youth. Working under the mentorship of the Senior Youth Ministry Manager, the intern will help coordinate and support the Middle School Work Crew during the week of Vacation Bible School. This role provides an opportunity to discover ministry giftings and gain insight into managing ministry programming.

What you'll do#

• Help coordinate the Middle School Work Crew.
• Lead daily devotionals.
• Facilitate team-building activities.
• Assist in two-on-one check-ins with Middle School students.

What you'll need#

• Must be a Spring 2026 High School graduate.
• Must be an active member of West Side Youth and a Redeemer church community.
• Must be a follower of Jesus and a believer of the Gospel.
• A relational approach to investing in Middle Schoolers and their faith.
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and a willingness to perform all tasks with excellence.
• A self-starter mindset, consistently looking for opportunities to further the program.
• Preferred majors include Psychology, Philosophy, Human Resources, or Communications.

Location & details#

• Location: New York, New York (On-site).
• Term: Summer 2026 (July 5 – July 10).
• Compensation: $21/hr.
• Schedule: Sunday (1:00 pm – 7:00 pm), Monday through Thursday (7:00 am – 1:00 pm), and Friday (7:00 am – 3:00 pm).
