About the role#
The West Side Youth Summer VBS Internship is a limited position designed as an introduction to ministry. Working under the direction of the Senior Youth Ministry Manager, you will help coordinate the Middle School Work Crew during the week of Vacation Bible School. This role provides an opportunity to discover ministry giftings and gain experience in executing ministry programming.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate the Middle School Work Crew.
- Lead daily devotionals for the group.
- Facilitate team-building activities.
- Assist in two-on-one check-ins with Middle Schoolers.
- Act as a self-starter to identify opportunities to support the program.
What you'll need#
- Must be a Spring 2026 High School Graduate.
- Must be an active member of West Side Youth and a Redeemer church community.
- Must be a follower of Jesus and a believer of the Gospel.
- A relational approach to investing in Middle Schoolers and their faith.
- Strong communication skills, reliability, and a commitment to excellence in all tasks.
- Academic background in Psychology, Philosophy, Human Resources, or Communications is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York (On-site).
- Term: Summer 2026 (July 5 to July 10).
- Compensation: $21 per hour.
- Schedule: Sunday (1:00 pm to 7:00 pm), Monday through Thursday (7:00 am to 1:00 pm), and Friday (7:00 am to 3:00 pm).
