About the role#
The LSQ Seminary Internship is a one-year, paid, part-time ministry position designed for individuals seeking hands-on experience while pursuing seminary studies in New York City. This program focuses on ministry development and provides opportunities for leadership within specific ministry areas. While the standard term is one year, there may be an opportunity to extend the program for an additional year.
What you'll do#
- Integrate into the LSQ staff and attend weekly staff meetings.
- Assume leadership responsibilities within a specific ministry area, such as pastoral care, community life, youth ministry, or mercy and justice.
- Work 20 hours per week for a 50-week duration, which includes two weeks of vacation.
- Participate in regular meetings with supervisors and pastors for coaching, encouragement, and professional ministry development.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a seminary program located in New York City or plans to enroll prior to the start of the internship. You must remain enrolled throughout the duration of the program.
- An undergraduate degree.
- Regular attendance at Redeemer LSQ during the internship.
- Membership in a Gospel-Centered Church and a recommendation from your church for this internship.
- A clear motivation to participate in the program for the benefit of others and the glory of God.
